december rundown

“May your coming year be filled with magic & dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art – write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself”. – Neil Gaiman

(A calming selection of tracks, some favorites from the old and the new, never shared here before. Enjoy.)

Bonobo :: Return To Air

Bonobo’s Flashlight EP offers three tracks that provide a perfect ambience to a chilled out evening. Sensual and complimentary within his selection of samples and beats, Bonobo maintains his signature of creating an electronic and emotional transcending atmosphere.

Avatism – Planetario feat. Mind Against

The deep sounds of Thomas Feriero AKA Avatism in collaboration with Mind Against indulges listeners with 8 spellbinding minutes of a background of sultry heavy breathing against different measures of electric phrases that build upon each other.

Lusine – Lucky (Lake People Remix)

Ghostly’s Lusine always provide seductive downtempo sounds. Lake People have remixed the track changing it into a slow and hypnotic groove perfect for the laid-back dance floor.

Devendra Banhart – Für Hildegard Von Bingen

Keeping the calming vibe going, from Devendra Banhart’s eighth studio album Mala comes “Für Hildegard Von Bingen.” In collaboration with Noah Georgeson the two produced the album together, playing most of the instruments themselves, using borrowed equipment and a recorder they’d found in a pawn shop.

Little People’s “Start Shootin'”

Little People’s “Start Shootin'” may be eight years old but still acts as if its ahead of it’s time. The main attraction is an addictive piano hook, and bass line that compliments the brooding progression into an instrumental hip hop anthem.
