Leon Bridges :: Coming Home

Sometimes a song stays with you until its all you want to listen to.

In the case of the smooth r&b tones of Leon Bridges, his voice is so instantly warm and addictive that it will bring you back to the days of soul legends like Sam Cooke. Recommended by the great Gorilla Vs Bear blog, Leon Bridges fulfills the void of the golden days of rich vocalists. While it feels as if this could of been created back in the 70s, the singer/songwriter from Fort Worth, Texas, is slowly building his reputation now as one of those special discoveries loaded with only two secret demos Coming Home and Better Days, both produced by Austin Jenkins and Josh Block of alternative rock band White Denim.

About The Author

“One glimpse is all it takes to tell you that Music Is Art is something special. You can start by judging this blog by its cover—it’s one of the best-designed, most aesthetically aware music blogs around—but there’s much more to it than just a pretty template. For one, Danielle Maree, the “dreamer/designer” behind MIA, focuses not only on excellent music, but on art, photography and writing and how they all intersect and inform the music. By sharing the sounds and sights that inspire her, she’s inspiring a growing number of readers on a daily basis. By documenting artists’ creative processes, she’s, in the process, creating a pretty substantial, always-evolving work of art herself.” - Nerd Litter
