One-Liners

I’m trying something new. It’s called one-liners. I’m just going to post songs that are so incredible, just one line of the lyrics will make one want to listen to the song. I’m gonna also post random art for scenary purposes.

WilcoAshes Of American Flags
[I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck.]

DredgTriangle
[Lift your anchor, then just float astray.]

Greg Garing (Feat. Jimmy Gnecco)Safe Within Your Arms
[If all of the stars quit shining, how dark the night would seem.]

Mojave 3Prayer For The Paranoid
[And these clouds keep on rolling, and I don’t know why.]

[It’s a happy time inside my mind, when a melody does find a rhyme, and says to me I’m coming home to stay.]

I think you’ve started something here.

    Great idea.

Thanks for the music and the art – liking both lots!

    a few suggestions:

“I want some slashes to go with those long eyelashes.” (Recoil – breathe control)

(almost everything from Nicole blackman’s pen is really intense, try her contribution to recoil’s “liquid” or the golden palomino’s “dead inside” for the best lyrics in english you’ll ever hear)

“Did you go bad?” (Radiohead – Fog)

“Wake up without thinking. You’re the one that I desire” (Beck – Hollow Log)

“I’ve been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else” (Manic street preachers – yes)

(Im not a huge fan of the music from manic street preachers itself but the whole lyrics to the holy bible album are some of the most acid things I’ve ever heard in a rock album, this song deals with prostitution. )

They never say to come home (Songs: Ohia – Blue Factory Flame)

Well ,yes , they’re sort of dark and gloomy but I love the way they come out in the song.
