Hear Sharon Van Etten Elegantly Cover Skeeter Davis’ “The End Of The World”

Sharon Van Etten covers “The End of the World” for The Man in the High Castle.

Sharon Van Etten’s take on Skeeter Davis’ “The End of the World” showcases her broad range of elegance and class while her voice glitters in gold, reminiscent of older days when music was legendary and love lost was full of forever heartache.

The cover was curated by producers Danger Mouse and Sam Cohen to be placed on the official soundtrack for Amazon’s alternate history drama, The Man in the High Castle.  Based in the 60s, the original Philip K. Dick book, now Amazon series, fittingly features reminiscent songs from that era. However on The Man In The High Castle soundtrack, Danger Mouse brought together a modern collection of contemporary artists like Beck, Karen O, The Shins, Angel Olsen, Grandaddy, and more to cover the original versions.

The soundtrack Resistance Radio: The Man in the High Castle is due out April 7th from 30th Century.
