Enchantress Sade has been creating beautiful, soulful music since the early 80s.
In my own life, my mother often listened to smooth jazz and soft R&B music. Sade was always a special favorite of hers, and at a very early age Sade became a favorite of mine. I spent many summers growing up at the ocean and I can faintly remember hearing Sade on the stereo as I would stare out amongst the waves from our family’s beach house. Watching the water gently connect to the soft beats and calming vocals within Sade’s music matched perfectly to the entire atmosphere. From then on and still to this day, I’ve always associated Sade with the ocean.
Many artists have been inspired greatly by Sade’s music and in turn have created some interesting remixes of their own. Below is a few of my favorites. Please enjoy.
Soul – Only One (Joe Kay’s Slowed Sade Edit)
Sade – Never Thought I’d See the Day (L-Vis 1990 Sunrise Edit)
Fwdslxsh – Her Eyes (Sade Edit)
Sade – When Am I Going To Make A Living (Poolside’s Tons of Drums Edit)
Sade – Flow (Bas Amro Edit)
Sade – Nothing Can Come Between Us (Pomo Edit)
